kyle sagaas asked: A diabetic is always constrained to have a healthy and sugar-free diet. Nowadays, diabetics can easily come up with recipes that are suited for people who suffer from the disease. Controlling your diet can be the key to reducing the risk of diabetes as well as improving your symptoms if you are already affected by this disease people often refer to as “the silent killer”. However, if you do have to live with diabetes then you need to sort out your diabetic diet plan. One of the hardest things to do will be to shed those unnecessary pounds as you go along maintaining your weight and avoiding the prohibited foods. The best way to have a safe diabetic diet is to eat foods that came from all of the four basic food groups as go, grow and glow.
Sticking to a healthy diabetic diet will result into a lowered risk of heart attack, hypertension or stroke. These are the two diseases that are highly associated with diabetes. The diabetic diet plan is after all, low-fat and has been formulated to increase energy and at the same time ease the symptoms of tiredness, thirst and blurred vision. A healthy eating habit of a diabetic diet involves consuming foods like, vegetables, poultry, lean meat, fish, non-fat dairy products, beans, whole grains and fruit. Low-carb dietary plan is also available where foods like, fish, meat, poultry are still ok along with cheese, eggs and particular vegetables such as kidney beans, avocados and carrots. Diabetic diets should include foods that are low in saturated fats and cholesterol, such as skinless poultry, fresh fruit, and vegetables as previously mentioned.
Moreover, a diabetic diet consists of several food groups. But it is also imperative that you weigh the foods so you will take in the correct amount of calories. When shopping for food stuff at the local supermarket, it is also imperative that you check the food labels because they show the daily values based on a 2,000 calorie diet. For instance, your breakfast on 2,000 calorie diabetic diet must consist of something like a cup of skimmed milk or sugar free yogurt, a couple of slices of bread, rice cakes or pasta if you prefer, an egg prepared your favorite way and a serving of fruit. For those diabetics on a 1,800 calorie plan your breakfast might contain the following; a couple of slices of bread with a cup of skimmed milk, a tablespoon of cheese and a serving of some fresh fruit like apple, banana orange. These are just samples you can follow. But it is best to check your physician or ask the help of a dietitian to guide you in your food choices.
Make sure that what you eat is healthy, organic and without too much preservatives. A healthy diabetic diet must be coupled with exercise, a brisk walk or some work out. That way, your blood circulation is working at its best. A good blood circulation helps do away with heart ailments, hypertension, stroke or other related diseases.

Oliver Hetzel asked: Most obese people want to lose weight and cure their obesity. The problem often is to identify the
causes for obesity exactly – and the knowledge on how to approach it. For this reason I have created this article especially for obese people. In this guide we keep the focus on the two major causes for obesity – a lack of physical activity and the wrong habit of eating. I will provide you with clear and easy to follow recommendations. Acting on this guide enables you to lose weight and reduce obesity.
Before we dive into the two main causes for obesity, let us talk about the other causes, so that we have them out of the way. Besides the major causes mentioned in the introduction there are a few other causes as well: age, gender and genes. The point of matter is that we can not influence these causes positively. For this reason we have to focus on the two main causes.
A lack of physical activity is one of the main causes for obesity. Once you haven’t practiced any exercise for several months or even years it becomes more and more difficult. The trick is to make a long term action plan. Make the decision to seriously lose weight and write a To-Do list. Start with 2 workouts per week for 15 to 20 minutes without a pause. Increase the duration of your workout every week by 2 minutes until you are performing 45 minutes at a stretch. At the same time you have to increase the quantity of workouts every week by one until you are performing at least 5 workouts per week. Here are some great options: Power Walking, Incline Walking, Rollerblading, Jogging, working out on a Climbing Machine or doing Circuit Training with weights.
Another plausible cause for obesity is the wrong eating habit. The only way to cure obesity is to change your habit of eating permanently. It’s a waste of time to follow a diet for 6 weeks and than come back to the old eating habit. It doesn’t work. In order to actually lose weight you have to avoid high caloric products at all. High caloric products contain a lot of simple sugar and fat. Here are some bad examples: crackers, candies, sweets and biscuits, jam, cakes, pastries, baked goods, cookies, snack foods, fried foods, salad dressings and many processed foods. I highly recommend that you get into reading the ingredients of the food packages before you buy any food. Split your meals into 5 smaller portions per day. This will help you to stimulate your metabolic rate as well. Eat healthy low caloric products and drink a lot of water – at least 3 to 4 liters per day.
Now that you have read this guide you probably control the causes for obesity in a new way. Focusing on the two main causes (wrong habit of eating and lack of physical activity) allows you to tackle the problem in the right way. Make a long term action plan and implement the recommendations provided in this article. There is, of course, more useful information about how to control obesity; e.g. information about diet and nutrition. By putting the information provided in this guide into practice, though, you will be able to lose weight and reduce obesity.

Oliver Hetzel asked: When it comes to counteracting the
causes of overweight and obesity most people don’t know where to start. This is understandable because of the huge amount of useless and misleading information and humbug such as hollywood diets, magic diet pills or expensive pre-package food diets. For this reason I have created this step-by-step guide to provide you with the most important steps to lose weight. If you act according to the compiled guide you will be able to positively affect the causes of overweight and obesity and actually lose weight.
Be aware that there are several environmental causes which you can control
Strengthen your will and make the decision to counteract these causes
Focus on your body’s overall fat percentage, not only on a particular part of your body. If you focus on your body’s overall fat percentage you will also lose weight in those parts of your body that you perceive as problematic.
Your metabolic rate is a key factor in burning fat. An increased metabolic rate results in an increased fat metabolism. Therefore you have to stimulate your metabolic rate on a regular basis.
A great way to boost your metabolic rate is by performing exercises. Here are some effective options: Power Walking, Incline Walking, Swimming, Rollerblading, Cycling, Jogging, using the Climbing Machine or doing Circuit Training with weights.
Practice at least 30 minutes without a pause. Start with 3 workouts per week and try to gradually increase the number of your workouts to 5.
Get into the habit of eating 5 smaller portions instead of the usual 3. Every time you ingest food your metabolic rate will slightly increase.
Avoid high caloric food products. They very often contain a lot of simple sugar and fat.
Decrease the intake of carbohydrates in the evening and drink a lot of water.
Now that you have more information about how to control the causes of overweight and obesity you will probably approach it in a new way. Important pillars you should keep in mind are: performing exercises to boost your metabolic rate, eating 5 smaller portions a day and consuming low caloric food. Be aware of the significant meaning of your metabolic rate and try to stay as positive as you can. There is, of course, much more beneficial information concerning weight loss, e.g. information on diets. But by putting this information into practice you will be able to positively affect the causes of overweight and obesity.

Joseph Long asked: Chihuahuas are the smallest dogs in the world, and take their name from Chihuahua, Mexico, where they were discovered in the mid-19th century. These dogs are thought to be descended from Chinese dogs which came over the land bridge from Asia thousands of years ago. The first chihuahua was registered with the American Kennel Club around the turn of the last century.
You can recognize a chihuahua by it’s big eyes and ears and tiny bodies. There are two coat varieties – the smooth, glossy short coat that’s more familiar, and a long, soft variation. Chihuahuas of both types come in a number of different colors, from white, fawn and brown to black, blue brindle, chocolate and tan. These little dogs are known for loyalty, fierce devotion, and a ferocious manner for such a tiny dog. They mostly become attached to one or two people, and are extremely protective of them.
Chihuahuas are suitable for most environments, but they’re bad with kids or other pets. They tend to attack larger animals, and may bite when scared. They also tend to be alarmed by strangers. However, a chihuahua is an excellent only dog in a small apartment, since they won’t have problems with exercise the way a larger pet might. Training your chihuahua is important if you want to avoid the stereotypical high strung pet.
Chihuahuas can be hard to train at first – you need to be patient and committed. A lot of intensive socialization from an early age is required, and you’ll need to provide plenty of reinforcement for good behavior. Chihuahuas can suffer from a number of veterinary problems, so you’ll have to pay close attention to health and behavior. These little dogs can quickly become obese and diabetic if overfed, and an obese chihuahua may also have respiratory and joint problems due to weight. Dental care is also important.
These little dogs’ large eyes can lead to them suffering from eye trouble, and infrequent feedings may lead to blood sugar problems. Keep an eye on your chihuahua to make sure he or she is in good health. You don’t need to worry about your chihuahua trembling, however. This is a common behavior in excited dogs, not a health problem. Well cared for chihuahuas will live as long as eighteen years.
Regular grooming is important, too. If you have a short haired chihuahua, use a natural bristle brush to distribute oils and remove dead hair, and a flea comb to remove these pests. A long haired chihuahua will need a wide toothed comb or pin brush and regular grooming. If mats develop, use a detangler, and pay a lot of attention to the eyes and ears of your little dog. Shedding chihuahua should be groomed every day to help remove excess fur. You may need to trim fur on your chihuahua’s feet to prevent slipping.
Thats the basics to what you will need to know about Chihuahuas. Just remember, treat them with love and care. Chances are, they will become more of a family member to you, rather than a pet.

Wain Roy asked: Cardiovascular disease or heart disease is one of the most prevalent health disorders affecting millions of people across the world. The American Heart Association categorizes the risks associated with it on the basis of its curable and incurable stages. Amongst the major risk factors that cannot really be cured include:
Increasing age- Research suggests that people aging more than 65 years are prone to heart diseases. In fact, around 80% of the people belonging to this age group succumb to fatal cardiovascular diseases.
Heredity- A report issued by the American Heart Association claims that children whose parents have been diagnosed with any heart disease are at a greater risk of acquiring it at a later stage of their lives.
Gender- Heart disease is largely associated with the male gender. However, if reports are to be believed, around 250,000 women die annually on account of cardiovascular diseases. Most women acquire this fatal disease post menopause.
Some of the major cardiovascular risk factors that can be cured are:
Increased blood cholesterol levels
High blood pressure
Cigarette smoking
Inactive lifestyle
Obesity
Diabetes
Excessive Stress
Besides some of the unavoidable risk factors, cardiovascular diseases can be effectively combated by exercising a little restrain. For instance, a little amount of cholesterol is beneficial to health but its increased presence causes heart attacks and even strokes. The American Heart Association recommends around 300 milligrams of cholesterol per day. Not only that, the fat content of the total calories consumed should not exceed more than 29-30%, with the saturated fat counting not more than 10% of the total calories.
In their urge to bring down high levels of low density lipoprotein or LDL cholesterol levels, many people take recourse to alcohol so as to increase the concentration of high density lipoprotein or HDL cholesterol levels. Nonetheless, they fail to understand that alcohol induces numbing of the senses, thereby leading to increasing cases of traffic accidents, drowning, or boating deaths. Hence, alcohol cannot be regarded as a full-proof solution to combat increased LDL cholesterol levels.
As diet forms an essential factor regulating the onset of heart diseases, so are the other injurious habits like cigarette smoking. Chain smokers are prone to a high risk of cardiovascular and lung diseases. On the other hand, lifestyle also plays an important role in deciding the health status of a person. A complete inactive lifestyle as well as an excessively strenuous one can both be the cause of a deteriorating heart condition.
Cardiovascular risk factors should thus be given proper consideration so as to prevent any fatal outcome. Heart disease risk, triggered by some of the curable factors, can be easily put at bay by following the norms of a healthy lifestyle.
