kyle sagaas asked:

Most studies reveal that the use of fat eliminators has been clinically proven to be truly helpful to people suffering from obesity or those who are simply overweight. They are known to deliver quick results and put forward no difficulty in using them. In as much as most of us feel the need of being slim and healthy, they have become quite popular and important. Today, many fat burning drugs are utilized on a large scale and have become quite popular among its many users.

1) Ephedra-Free Fat Burners

Although fat burning drugs containing ephedra are the most commonly used ones due to its effectiveness and fast results, now, many dieters are turning to organic fat burners which produce little or no side effects at all. The natural ones are considered to be the safest.

2) Fat Burners Essentially  Fit for Women

A lot of fat burning drugs these days which are available in the market were especially created for use by women. The demand for such fat burning drugs increased rapidly after ephedra was proved to be hazardous but eventually was brought back to the market because of its efficiency. This market is quite a big one. Women are very much concerned about their health and are ready to try various options available in the market. The pressure on women to stay slim is huge. This provides them an easy way to get going.

3) Fat Tissue Burners

Sometimes dieting and exercise do not lead to required results. If one wishes to shed excess weight and wants to keep it off longer then changes in lifestyle should be adopted. Fat tissue burners can prove to be effective when they are taken along with a weight loss program.

We always want a fast way out for weight loss, but as always, natural weight loss is the best prescribed even by medical doctors and dieticians, it may include one of the following:

a) Consuming all natural food (Purely organic like veggies and fresh meat).

b) Refraining from eating foods with high content preservatives.

c) Refraining from binging as well as eating before sleeping.

d) Having a good daily exercise regimen.

e) Brisk walking which is very good for the heart.

Diet drugs are not the authentic solution to weight loss. Diet pills should not be taken for long term courses and might result in heart and liver problems. Several diet drugs have been coupled with severe heart problems and other health-related diseases, and it has been found that diet drugs have resulted in a number of deaths.Herbal diet pills work through a complete different way unlike other harsh chemical drugs. Ingredients in herbal pills are related to large number of health hazards.

The most vital motive is not to establish ideal weight, but the ultimate goal is to adopt permanent and healthy lifestyle practices. When these conditions are fulfilled than one’s weight loss becomes effortless.

Thus it can easily be conclude that weight loss is not at all an easy task. But the right approach towards the goal will allow one to shed excess weight without being worried about the side effects. Thus it is a good option to lose weight by natural process.

Teen Obesity

naturalremedies asked:

Obesity is defined as an excessive accumulation of body fat, which is identified through the concept of Body Mass Index (BMI). Specifically, overweight refers to an excess body weight with a BMI of 25 to 29.9. However, individuals with a BMI of 30 or more are considered obese. Although our society is preoccupied with the “art” of thinness, obesity is finally recognized as an increasing health problem.

Obesity in teens costs the country billions of dollars a year in disease management and emergency room visits for heart problems and diabetes. However, the cost to teens isnt as easily quantified; the problems that arise for obese teenagers range from physical to mental and can only be cured gradually over time. Below is a simple guide outlining three main risks associated with teen obesity and three ways to combat teenage obesity.

Causes of Obesity in Teens:

1. Poor eating habits

More and more teenagers provide for themselves when it comes to preparing and eating meals. Most of the meals a teenager eats are provided at school. Sometimes these choices are less than healthy options, like pizza and French fries. Also available in many schools are numerous vending machines selling sodas, chips, and candy bars. Dinner may be the first and only chance a teenager has to eat a healthy meal.

2. Lack of exercise

Teenagers get little opportunity for physical movement during school, and with the elimination of many Physical Education requirements, they get next to none. This lack of activity coupled with the increased number of video and computer games keep teenagers stationary and unable to exert the energy needed to burn off the calories they consume.

3. Depression

Depression during adolescence is a major cause of many eating problems, but usually goes undiagnosed. Depression decreases a teenagers interest in normal activities and may decrease their level of physical exertion. A poor appetite may also result, thus making a teenager more susceptible to illness and obesity.

Triggers To Watch For:

1.    Your obese teen has less energy or interests and is hesitant to participate in social relationships or other activities;

2.    Your obese teen appears increasingly sad, lonely, angry or withdrawn.

3.    Your obese teen has few friends.

4.    Your obese teen has thoughts of causing harm to him/herself or others.

5.    Your obese teen is obsessed with eating.

6.    Your obese teen sleeps too much or not enough.

7.    Your obese teen is reluctant to go to school.

Treatment for Teen Obesity:

1.    It is best to eat healthy food, like fruits, vegetables, grains so that all essential vitamins, minerals and other nutrition are provided to the body.

2.    Foods like pasta, French fries, pizza and aerated drink should be restricted.

3.    One of the best ways to loosing weight for teens is walking.

4.    Exercises can be done at least 3 times per week but no weights and dumbbells should be used.

5.    It is also necessary to maintain 50% natural raw foods in everyday diet along with having plenty of water each day.

6.    Requiring physical education and health programs during school is an important way to contribute to a teenagers physical well-being.

7.    Access to counselors and responsible, trusted adults is important in the development of adolescent health.

8.    Many schools instituted healthier eating programs on their campuses, emphasizing more fruits, vegetables, and lean meats.

The Healthy Diabetic Diet Guide

Sunday, April 26th, 2009
kyle sagaas asked:

A diabetic is always constrained to have a healthy and sugar-free diet. Nowadays, diabetics can easily come up with recipes that are suited for people who suffer from the disease. Controlling your diet can be the key to reducing the risk of diabetes as well as improving your symptoms if you are already affected by this disease people often refer to as “the silent killer”. However, if you do have to live with diabetes then you need to sort out your diabetic diet plan. One of the hardest things to do will be to shed those unnecessary pounds as you go along maintaining your weight and avoiding the prohibited foods. The best way to have a safe diabetic diet is to eat foods that came from all of the four basic food groups as go, grow and glow.

Sticking to a healthy diabetic diet will result into a lowered risk of heart attack, hypertension or stroke. These are the two diseases that are highly associated with diabetes. The diabetic diet plan is after all, low-fat and has been formulated to increase energy and at the same time ease the symptoms of tiredness, thirst and blurred vision. A healthy eating habit of a diabetic diet involves consuming foods like, vegetables, poultry, lean meat, fish, non-fat dairy products, beans, whole grains and fruit. Low-carb dietary plan is also available where foods like, fish, meat, poultry are still ok along with cheese, eggs and particular vegetables such as kidney beans, avocados and carrots. Diabetic diets should include foods that are low in saturated fats and cholesterol, such as skinless poultry, fresh fruit, and vegetables as previously mentioned.

Moreover, a diabetic diet consists of several food groups. But it is also imperative that you weigh the foods so you will take in the correct amount of calories. When shopping for food stuff at the local supermarket, it is also imperative that you check the food labels because they show the daily values based on a 2,000 calorie diet. For instance, your breakfast on 2,000 calorie diabetic diet must consist of something like a cup of skimmed milk or sugar free yogurt, a couple of slices of bread, rice cakes or pasta if you prefer, an egg prepared your favorite way and a serving of fruit. For those diabetics on a 1,800 calorie plan your breakfast might contain the following; a couple of slices of bread with a cup of skimmed milk, a tablespoon of cheese and a serving of some fresh fruit like apple, banana orange. These are just samples you can follow. But it is best to check your physician or ask the help of a dietitian to guide you in your food choices.

Make sure that what you eat is healthy, organic and without too much preservatives. A healthy diabetic diet must be coupled with exercise, a brisk walk or some work out. That way, your blood circulation is working at its best. A good blood circulation helps do away with heart ailments, hypertension, stroke or other related diseases.
